sedimentary lithotype shows alternated laminas varying in colour from ivory white to different shades of grey. The laminas have a thickness varying from millimetric to pluricentrimetric and they appear in a linear sub parallel orientation or convolute in places. The scattered pores are various in types and generally recrystallised. This is one of the rarest and most precious type of travertine.
